AMIB Christmas Dinner 2015
AMIB Christmas Dinner 2015
At the venerable Mayne Island Ag Hall, the AMIB held its Christmas Dinner attended by 74 members, a sold-out event! Organizers decorated the hall in nautical fashion complete with life rings made into wreaths.
AMIB President Carl Bunnin informed the club that the Harbors Commission has now approved a budget for the proposed Anson Road dock, subject to rezoning approval.
After Thomi Glover gave grace, members were treated to a turkey/ham dinner with all the fixings and gourmet dessert catered by Sue Duncan (Dinners by Design).
Entertainment was a slide show featuring AMIB boating-related photos all set to music by Treasurer Bryan Westby.
A number of members dressed up in nautical attire. No mistaking this was a boating party!
The evening closed with Sharon reading the “Sailor’s Poem”
There are big ships and small ships.
But the best ship of all is friendship.
