Instructor:  Blair Smith is well-known on Mayne Island as an experienced boater and popular boating instructor.  He has boated extensively all along the BC Coast and throughout the San Juans and Puget Sound, Washington.

July 17th - Workshop on Anchoring and Stern-tying with Blair Smith

Another excellent workshop by Blair Smith with help from Emily and their sailboat, Avare, this time at John & Kathy Moore's dock in Dinner Bay.  Twelve AMIB members were treated to a thorough explanation of anchoring basics, using a kellet, spare anchor, lead line, anchor light, communication with partner,  and a demonstration of stern-tying.
