Thank you to all of the volunteers for help putting on this event -- delivering tables and chairs, setting up, registration, kitchen help, cooking, raffle prizes, and cleanup. Thank you to the Lions for renting us the tables and chairs.
Between 10:30 am and 2:00 pm, AMIB members came out to enjoy a window of warm weather at Dinner Bay Park on Saturday, June 11th. Some just came for the popular boot sale while others came for lunch and the free raffle draw.
Guest of Honor was Maureen Pearl.
The Boot Sale
Why "boot" sale? One of our Brit directors, Allen, came up with the idea - boot as in trunk.
This year we had the usual assortment of nautical items on display - Aaron brought 3 dinghies, there were several outboard engines, fishing gear, charts, tarps, and crab traps, etc.

Lunch
Yummy desserts were made by Eden Buday!
Beef burgers and all the fixings purchased from TruValu. Keep contributing to #39 AMIB. We do use those funds for the picnic.

The Free Raffle!
Our Guest of Honour was Maureen Pearl. Maureen was a long-time AMIB member who never even owned as boat! Today was Maureen's last day as a Mayne Island resident before she moves to Ladner. She chose to spend part of her day volunteering to help in the kitchen. We presented Maureen with a special good-bye gift.
