Confidence in Boating - A One Day Course for Women by Women
On Sunday, May 25, Emily Patenaude, Collen Dearden, and Judy Kiyooka presented a one-day boating skills course to 18 women at the Ag Hall.
By all accounts, the day was very successful with lots of food and learning. Attendees were greeted with scones and coffee to set the tone. Later they were able to see a demonstration of a pdf being inflated with Dell wearing the pdf and pulling the activation cord.
There were also demonstrations of fire extinguisher use and hands-on practice with knot tying and using a radio.
A special video on the "Cold Water Boot Camp" showed the effects of being in frigid water over time.
