Small Craft Harbours (SCH) confirmed today that they will be undertaking some maintenance work at the Horton Bay Dock on Mayne Island. Details of some of the maintenance work and when the work is planned can be reviewed below. It is important to point out that their scope of work also includes the supply and installation of dock safety ladders.
Repair to decking and installing perforated drain pipe at start of approach.
Installation of safety ladders (2) on either end of Float 803.
Resecuring/replacement of metal mesh on approach and floats.
Resecuring of loose handrail and damaged wheelguard on approach.
Installation of steel strapping and banding to tops of damaged approach piling (4 locations).
In-situ repair to one pile cap timber.
Replacement of (5) cross braces on approach.
Replacement of 2.7m section of bullrail of on Float 803 including missing risers.
Replacement of timber cleats on gangway and installation of non-skid rubber tread down other side.
